George Baxters Fish Processing Plant
Autumn of 2017 C & M Environmental completed the work in a medium sized efficient fish processing factory. George Baxters' in Bathgate, Scotland.
The industrial unit development was a commercial Refrigeration Project which required us to provide refrigeration cooling plant to maintain dedicated room temperatures to various room compartments. The Preparation area was designed and set to operate at 10 degC. with Despatch and Intake chilled areas designed to operate at -1 degree C and the Freezer rooms at -18 degrees C. A Ziegra 2.5 tonn ice machine was set above the Despatch chill to provide flaked ice to fill the dolabs below.
The project was a New-Build, and we were involved for just over eight weeks and involved 4 of our trained Refrigeration Engineers.
As it was a New-Build, we were involved at all points of the process from concept design to actual operational performance. We delivered the project as promised and the client was delighted with the result. Our engineers installed refrigeration units utilising Copeland High-Efficiency Scroll Technology compressors and Evaporators with EC rated fans to improve the overall performance and efficiency.
We deliver projects in a variety of sectors and the food processing industry is one that we thrive in.
